Unattended Terminals
Unattended or vending machine terminals are usually permanently installed in a housing and are controlled by the vending machine control system. The user interface and technical processes in the background are different from stationary or mobile terminals. The devices are often used outside (“outdoor”) and must therefore withstand large temperature fluctuations. Some appliances therefore have an integrated heating system.
Stationary terminals
Stationary terminals are permanently installed at one location via a cable for power supply, Internet and, if necessary, a cash register.
Mobile Terminals
Mobile terminals are powered by a battery and are connected to the Internet via WiFi and/or mobile communications. They are also becoming increasingly popular in stationary retail because of their flexibility.
